It REALLY is time to think about informal learning

I'm receiving more and more press releases about organisations buying rapid e-learning tools to create more and more formal learning solutions. It really is time for organisations to think more about the potential and power of informal learning.

I am going to be speaking at the eLearning Network event on informal learning in May, where I shall be addressing some of the issues I have raised in previous postings, namely

  • what informal learning looks like in an organisational context
  • how Learning and Development departments can support informal learning approaches; and
  • how informal learning is "managed"

If you can't join me at the event, I will post my presentation online afterwards at the Waller Hart, Learning Architects website
